Painful Day

Woke up feeling good today. Had a good sleep and was looking forward to watching some rugby. Not an unusual Sunday. Same routine. Go to Grandads house, see Aunty and Cousins.
Grandad passed away back in January and Grandma 3 years before that, so have been spending the past 7/8 months clearing the house out and getting it ready to sell. Well today was the last day that I'll ever be in that house. Wandering around the empty room that are so full of memiories was the hardest thing I have ever done. Knowing that I'll still be able to see that house but not go inside is something I'll never get used to.
Damn, this is to hard to do

Tough week at work

Last week was tough. Work was draining. Spinning was exhausting and everything else I did seemed to take a lot of effort. Although I did cook an exceptional BBQ today!
I work in a high school, in Essex as a teaching assistant. I love my job, I enjoy working with teenagers and each day is different. Different challenges, different tasks, everything changes day to day.

With work, I guess I'm going to have to give it a lot more time before I think about a change of career. I always thought I would be old and grey (or nearing that stage) before I said "kids these days have no respect", and I said it this past week. Its true though, they have zero respect for adults or anybody with a position of authority. Its not all teens but a small percentage of that age group who don't think and care about there actions and attutude.
A few of the people I work with are getting so fed up with the lack of respect, lack of work the kids do and consistency of dicipline, they are starting to look for new jobs. Some have started not to enjoy work and have gone home not wanting to come back the next day. Its tough for us as we work closely with the kids, we get to know what they are capable of and what they struggle with. However, when we are abused, victimised and get little support from teaching staff and senior staff, what is the point in us being there?

Rant over, next on the list, spinning. I wont go as far to say I love it yet, but I am certainly enjoying it more and more. For those who dont know what spinning is, its cycling but at an intense level for an hour or so in a group on stationary bikes. Its hard work and you do sweat a lot, but its good to use as a way of getting rid of stress and makes you feel very good after.
I've been doing it for a few months now and can feel the benifits of it but I'm ready to take it to the next level and do more spin classes during the week.

Hmmm....I've gone on for a bit so will stop here and blog again soon. Fingers crossed for a better week next week. I hope you guys and girls have a good one too.

Monday 26 September 2011

So, my first post. I hope your not expecting something earth shattering. Just a few ideas as to why I'm blogging, and when I think of these ideas I shall post them.
I feel I would be more productive with the TV off but I've had a bad day at work and so I'm going to bed. Maybe tomorrow I will share more with you about me.
